At Demak we always recommend using protection… joist protection of course (and sunscreen).
Vapourseal is our go to, not only because it extends the life of your deck but because it’s easy to apply.
Vapourseal is a tape, it has no fiddly backing paper and it has a strong acrylic adhesive making it a no brainer for sticking to timber and metal joists, the adhesive also reforms around screws to create a water tight seal.
We like to keep it simple here, and that’s exactly what have done for us!

Trex Dog!
heidi is our official mascot at Demak Outdoor Timber & Hardware

You'll often find her on the display deck giving a dog's point of view. (This usually involves happily lying down on the comfortable Trex Transcend Woodgrain embossed finish.)

Heidi's favourite decking colour is Tiki Torch (as seen above) but she also loves the Matte Black of the Trex Transcend Railing as it compliments her gloss black coat so nicely.

Say hello next time you see her, she'll never say no to a neck scratch...
