What a day it is!!! Let’s have a look at what we have here…

The new-look Sydney Swans have really turned it on and dominated their way into the Preliminary Final.

Just like these newly planted Zelkova serrata, and then these more mature Ornamental Pears — a little time, the right conditions and they really start to show what they can do!

What’s your favourite tree?

It’s a tough question when there are so many good ones!

Maybe it’s the beautiful Crepe Myrtle, the elegant Zelkova ‘Green Vase’, a striking Upright English Oak, or the bold ‘Oakville Crimson Spire’

Or maybe your favourite is something completely different?

We love seeing the difference trees can make to a property. They bring shade, colour and greenery, but they also add character and become part of the place as they grow.

Who else is happy that SPRING IS HERE?!

Warmer days, fresh new growth, blossoms starting to pop… it’s a pretty good time of year to be surrounded by trees!

So if you’ve been thinking about adding some shade, screening, colour or a beautiful feature tree to your garden, now’s a great time to get your spring planting sorted.

Maybe one tree. Maybe two… we’re not here to judge 😉

Besides, more trees can only make you happy, right? 💚

🌳 Tree Tuesday 🌳

First day of spring and look at it — really turning it on! 🌱

The AFL Wildcard Round really turned it on too, with the Carlton boys stepping up when it mattered. The young guns like Jagga Smith, Harry Dean and Sam Walsh are really starting to blossom at just the right time of year.

Just like these Pyrus nivalis (Snow Pears) — looking an absolute picture here at Urban Tree Growers and just as good anywhere they get planted.

Spring is here, the trees are waking up and there’s plenty happening!

Landscaping an acreage property is different from designing a town/suburban garden.

Rather than trying to fill the space, use trees to define it.

Create a tree-lined driveway for a strong sense of arrival. Establish screening along boundaries and sheds. Use groups of trees to frame views, provide shade and create distinct zones around the property.

On acreage, trees can also help visually connect the home, sheds, paddocks and other structures into one cohesive landscape.

The secret isn't necessarily more trees.

It's putting the right trees in the right places.

Dreaming of warmer days and picnics?
