I really wanted to include the Adirondack chair from the Relaxing Waterside bundle on the first card I made using the Rolling Waves bundle but it was out of proportion so I made a larger card and turned the scene around so the waves came rolling up to the chair which I coloured with Stampin Blends alcohol markers.
When making this card I realised I had run out of silver foil sheets which I wanted to use as a layer for the card front and the sentiment. My solution was to use a silver metallic marker to colour the white cardstock. Crisis averted!
I had already stamped and blended the background for this card when I realised my error with the sand on the previous card so this too has lighter sand at the waters edge instead of darker 🤦‍♀️
Apologies to my second friend turning 60 as this post has spoilt your surprise but the card does look better in person.

I have used the following items to make this card
• Rolling Waves stamps & dies
• Relaxing Waterside stamps & dies
• Balmy Blue ink
• Sahara Sand ink
• Crumb Cake ink
• Basic Beige ink
• Pecan Pie ink
• Smokey Slate ink
• Double Oval punch
• White cardstock
• Blending brushes
• Silver metallic marker/Silver foil sheets
• Stampin Blends

I had a play with the new Rolling Waves bundle and I love how it turned out. With the overlaying of the water stamps to give the effect of waves & froth you will never get two identical cards. One thing I did notice when I took the photo of this card was that as I used 2 tones to give the sand depth I should have done it the other way around as the sand at the waters edge should be darker as it would be wet and the sand further from the waters edge should be lighter as it would be drier. 🤦‍♀️

I have used the following items to make this card
• Rolling Waves stamps & dies
• Balmy Blue ink
• Sahara Sand ink
• Crumb Cake ink
• Basic Beige ink
• White Stampin’ Emboss powder
• White cardstock
• Blending brushes

This card is simply colour & dies but by overlapping the colours there are additioanl shades. The vellum allows the colour behind to still show through while enhancing the sentiment and also making it easier to attach to the card.

I have used the following items to make this card
• Words & Wishes dies
• Water and Dotted Lines decorative masks
• blending brushes
• 2026-2028 in colour ink
• vellum
• silver glimmer paper

This card uses one of my least favourite techniques which is fussy cutting. I have embossed the design on white cardstock and cut out the components and coloured them with alcohol markers.

I have used the following items to make this card
• Opulent Oasis dies
• Lily of the valley stamp set – sentiment
• impressions plate
• Water and Dotted Lines decorative masks
• white card stock
• 2026-2028 in colour ink and alcohol markers
• blending brushes

This card has used the same die as the last card but it has been used only to emboss & not to cut and I have changed to a different set of colours. These new In Colours also have matching shimmer brushes which I have used to give a darker edge in the corresponding colour.

I have used the following items to make this card:
• Opulent Oasis dies
• impressions plate
• Notes of Spring stamp set - sentiment
• white card stock
• 2026-2028 in colour ink and shimmer brushes
• homemade shimmer spray
• blending brushes

This card uses the same colours as the last card but with a heavier hand to give more intense colour. Unfortunately the lights in my light box have reflected off the glittery vellum & shimmer paper making it hard to read the Happy Birthday sentiment but it is a lot clearer in person. This card is also much more glittery in person.

I have used the following items to make this card:
• Opulent Oasis dies
• impressions plate
• black card stock
• white cardstock
• vellum
• colour glimmer paper
• 2024-2026 in colour ink
• Wink of Stella
• water
• blending brushes
• A non stampin’ up! sentiment die

I've needed some art therapy lately to take my mind off stuff happening in my life that I am not dealing with too well. I've decided to have a play with some of the new items I just bought and will also use my existing & retired stock. I have some birthdays coming up so I will see what I come up with & post here to show you what I create.
