Fire making session for Yr 7 HASS (History and Social Sciences) 🔥🔥

Our activities may seem solely cultural focused however, we do fit into many aspects of the Australian Curriculum.

From Physical activities in HPE to Historical learnings with hands on activities (we also talk about hunting skills, artefacts and ceremonial practices), Visual Arts (ochre, painting) and performing arts (didgeridoo lessons, corroboree lessons, etc) 🪃🔥👣💪🏿

Nearly all of our activities translate well into the ACARA Codes

If your school is missing the Aboriginal Cultural component please send us a message and we can figure something out 👌🏾

We provide these activities successfully to schools all over the region 📍🗺

Warama had to split up across the region yet again over this last week. I was asked to go out to Moranbah to give the Mitha Gundi (Black Magic) Dance Troupe a bit of didge and corroboree support! Got to meet the deadly Surumau Silew Dance Crew from Cairns!

Also got to learn a few new corroborees from Barada Barna mob here and then got to do some live didge practice with Uncle Kruga!

Was a deadly trip, would love to come back out this way for some more of these trips with this mob ❤️💪🏿

Great achievement for the Warama crew yesterday! 🔥

While I was away, Trey, Jarla and Tobyn stepped up and delivered a full Dreamtime Experience for the Raising Mob Our Way Movement, running the day from start to finish.

They delivered:
• A Kupmurri for 100 people
• An Ochre Workshop
• Cultural artefact yarning

This is exactly what Warama is about—building a team that can confidently deliver high-quality cultural experiences, no matter who's leading the day.

Being able to travel and know our crew can deliver events of this scale with professionalism and cultural integrity is something we're incredibly proud of. Every year we continue to grow, refine our programs and raise the standard.

If you're looking for a culturally cooked Kupmurri, cultural workshops or a complete cultural experience for your group or organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
