Yester-Years (at Gnomes) was established in 2006 in the premises formerly occupied by Gnomes Vegetarian Restaurant. From humble beginnings, selling all manner of secondhand goods, we have been fortunate to have now become a premier stockist of both wearable Estate and Costume Jewellery, collectible pieces from the 18th,19th and 20th centuries as well as a huge range of Antiques & collectibles for

the home. In October of 2017 we purchased the Old Masonic Temple in Kent St. a second antique shop opened 2 yrs later and gradually over the next 18 months one shop began to empty whilst the other filled up. The Gnomes buildings were finally sold off in May 2021 and the final truckload came over 7 months later. Yester Years is now located at the old Masonic Temple 112-114 Kent Street Rockhampton. They say you need to spend money to make money.
I spent with 2 other retiree run businesses this week. I bought a painting from a local artist and had a local framer frame it for me and I love it.

This week's trade was boosted VERY respectfully today when among the many other sales I sold two of my favourite pieces.

Best weeks business today for 2026 🙏❤
