Today while wandering through the Rockingham Creative Crafts shop, we found these beautiful crocheted items by Jean, one of the our oldest participating members. Jean has been knitting beautiful items for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for over 75 years. Her work is meticulously made, with an heirloom quality that's hard to find in the every-day store. We loved her Aran sweaters, using a special type of wool.

You can often find Jean crocheting away at the store, with a warm cuppa on the table and lots of stories to tell. If you do visit the store, be sure to say hello! We're open Saturday and Sunday, from 10am - 1pm.

Congratulations to Annette for winning the Father's Day raffle today!

Annette walks home with a gorgeous handmade candle holder donated by Rustic Collections . Thank you so much Annette for buying a ticket and supporting our shop!

As a reminder, the shop will be CLOSED tomorrow so we can all celebrate the wonderful father's and father figures in our lives.

Father's day raffle is still open!

Father's day is nearly here, and you can still WIN this gorgeous handmade wooden candle holder by Rustic Collections. We'd like to extend a hearty thank you to Rob for donating this piece. Rob was a member of the Creative Crafts. Rockingham, WA for over a year, and this very special piece was gifted to the store when he ceased his membership.

So pop down to the shop tomorrow and grab a ticket for just $2.00 (or 3 tickets for $5.00) and you just might win this beautiful piece!

Join us for a relaxed morning of crafting and cake, just moments from the Rockingham Foreshore, as we create a beautiful whale portrait using the contemporary art of Kinusaiga. Tuck reclaimed scraps of fabric into foam board while enjoying a delightful morning tea with friends, and walk away with a beautiful handmade artwork, no sewing required!

If you have ever walked into our bright little shop, you will definitely have seen one of Alan's beautiful handmade stained glass pieces. These beautiful pops of colour catch the light from all corners of our store, and we love that he has chosen us to display his work.

Alan Kitto has been creating his stained glass artworks for over 25 years, and will happily accept a custom commission if you have a special piece in mind. He has been a member of the RCC for over 3 years, and is a familiar face behind the counter if you've ever popped in over a weekend.

So why not pop in and see what Alan has cooked up.

Say hello to Sonia Hotham, the talented artist behind these amazing quilts. Sonia is one of our lovely weekend volunteers, and joined the RCC just over a year ago. Since then both she and her beautiful quilts, bags and other hand sewn items have brightened our lovely little creative space.

What we love about Sonia's quilts is that they're backed with a beautiful fleecy material, making them very cosy on a cold winter evening. So why not pop into the RCC and see what all the fuss is about?
