A very successful start for Camilleri Custom Stocks (CCS) at the Tasmanian State DTL Carnival being held in Evandale (26-29 Jan)
First event - Champion of Champions and CCS took out the overall honors and the Veteran category - well done Rob (Poppa Smurf) Viney taking both titles!
Rob shot the event clean then shot the shoot off clean for the win - awesome shooting Rob!
Ross Cummings takes out 1st in AA after also shooting the event clean but unfortunately missing 1 x point in the shoot off with Rob Viney above.
Jason Griffen claims 2nd in AA after a shoot off for the 124’s.
Great job boys!!
Second event - Double Rise and a second win for CCS! Jason Griffen takes out the overall after shooting 49/50 in the event then shoots the shoot off clean for the win!
2nd State title for Jason - fantastic result mate!
Jimmy Furini takes out 2nd in C grade after a shoot off - great stuff!
Forth event is the Single Barrel and we see our very own Joe Camilleri (owner and stock maker of Camilleri Custom Stocks!) together with Steve Caltabiano shoot the 50 straight - great shooting boys - but unfortunately, both missing in the shoot off.
Samantha Peck wins A grade outright and Glen Castellaro wins the Veterans category.
Fifth event is the Double Barrel and boy were we in for a ride!
Many possibles were shot and engines were started for the shoot off.
After 273 targets Aaron Jones with his CCS stock is crowned the winner!!
Congratulations! Fantastic win for Aaron and …. his first State Title! Well done!!
Glen Castellaro wins the Veterans category.
To top off a great carnival, Glen Castellaro wins the Veteran High Gun (just 8 points behind the Overall High Gun winner) - great shooting Glen!
Congratulations to all the winners, commiserations to the place getters and to everyone else, better luck next time and remember there will always be another shoot.
