I am very concerned about the windfarms. The bushfires took the lives of thousands of animals, birds and the bush. Windfarms have now gone through native forests where koalas and other wildlife reside. I wonder where all the conservationists have gone and the animal party have gone?
After the bushfires a man asked me if I wanted apricots. I said I love them. He said that over the years the parrots had come to his apricot tree and feasted on his apricots. He said they hadn't come. About a month later they turned up and had a feast with the seed pods of one of my trees. That was lunch time.
I went home after work and there they were in my fig tree. I guess they were having dinner.
Now they come every year to my trees. I am so concerned that they will be injured by the blades on the turbines and all the other birds that migrate to our region.
I started thinking about the beneficial insects and decided to do some research. Apparently, when reading one researched item it said that one trillion insects had been killed by the blades. The blades had to be cleaned.
Is that what we need now? Insects, birds and other flying species like bats could be harmed and koalas and other animals displaced. Why aren't the conservationalists concerned?
I am not happy at all.
