I was delighted to be contacted by SBS Australia to talk about the growing popularity of crochet and knitting and to talk about my crocheting, what got me into it and about entering at the Sydney Easter show!

Went today to do record the piece, and it will be shown later this evening on SBS 😊

Also I was at the Arts preview last Tuesday evening before it opened to the public…. Alas, I didn’t win a ribbon this year, but it was so lovely to see all the awesome work on display!

ITS FINISHED!!!! With only a few hours (and a lot of choice swearwords to spare!) - ‘Banky’s Balloon Girl, In Crochet’.

Next time I’ll see it will hopefully be at Sydney Royal Easter Show in a few weeks. Even if I don’t win anything this year, it’s my favourite piece that I’ve made in ages.

She is DONESKI!

I am in love at how it turned out- it came out exactly how I had it in my head. Now to write the pattern out (hopefully I can remember what I did!) and I will be making it available to but - it’ll be the first pattern of mine that I’ve ever sold to the masses 😊

Not gonna lie, it got super monotonous making it, but it became a real labour of love. Look forward to wearing her out 😊

Current crochet work in progress!

I had this idea for a sun dress for summer in my head… so decided to wing it and bring it to life!

Got a ways to go until it’s finished - hopefully I’ll still have some of the summer to wear it 😂

Howdy! Been a while since I posted, but had to share my latest crochet project!

Last night I went to my works Christmas party - the theme was “60’s Flower Child”. When I heard the theme, of course I immediately thought I was gonna crochet my whole outfit!!!! 😂

I crocheted the “Juliet” crochet dress from a pattern from circa 1968/9 (I used 8ply and rejigged the pattern to compensate the gage - yes that was a headache!), and crocheted a flower veil thingy (no pattern for this as I winged it!) to complete the look ☺️

Cushion finished that will be a gift for my partners mum.

I was just going to leave it just with the white picot border and not do the tassels, but my partner reckoned she would love tassels so did it and in the main colours used.

Love how it’s turned out, and I hope she will love it too

Thought I’d share this project that I’m currently making as a gift for someone special for Christmas - a Cushion!

It’s super intricate and the pattern was bit tricky to get my head around at first, but I preserved and think it’s turned out stunning.

Will post the finished project once done 🙂

Lockdown crochet blanket finished!
Pattern is called “Peaceful” and is by Jody Pyott… and it really did give me peace making it!
As you can see myself and Jude have already been fighting over it!

It’s cosy, heavy and massive! It’s just as large as a double.

Have already started on blanket project number two - will post progress as I go 😊

Have been on a bit of a vintage pattern hunt and found a pattern for this dress from circa 1966!
Just finished it AND I LOVE IT!!!
Took me a 2 weeks to finish 😊
