We're passionate about correctly fitted shoes here at AKA. We take the time to assess your feet and how they work in your pointe shoes, talk with you about the shoes you've worn in the past, and go through lots of options with you for different fit and styles.

And that all takes time, so you need to make an appointment for pointe shoe fittings. (There's a link in our bio for that.)

No appointment needed for jazz, tap, ballet flats or character shoes, though.

I'm Penny Stubbs, owner of AKA Dancewear, and this is where you'll find me a lot of the time.

I'm the pointe shoe fitter here at AKA, and I take pride in being able to fit you in a pointe shoe that not only looks beautiful on your foot, but also supports you well, keeping your feet and your body strong and injury-free.

You know all those ugly photos you see of dancers feet all blistered, bruised and bleeding? Your pointe shoes shouldn't be doing that.

I have years of experience both as a dancer and a fitting expert. Make an appointment to see me for your next fitting, and we'll get you in the right pair of shoes for your feet.
