🌿 A morning of connection, learning & wellbeing 🌿
Hosted by Connections WA, Margaret River To You was proud to support the Rockingham & Kwinana Mental Health Professionals’ Network (MHPN), for a morning centred on professional learning, meaningful connection and practitioner wellbeing.
Dr James Clarke, Senior Clinical Psychologist, and Curtin University lecturer, shared his research and insights into Emotional Labour and Burnout in Mental Health Professionals. His presentation explored the often-invisible emotional demands of clinical work and the importance of self-compassion, connection, pacing and recognising our own limits.
We were also privileged to hear from Teresa, 86 years young, who shared her inspiring life story and reminded us that these strategies aren't just clinical tools—they are life skills. 💚
At Margaret River To You, we believe in supporting those who support others. We were delighted to organise the guest speaker gift box for a well deserved Dr James Clarke and sponsor the Member Wellness Prize, offering a small reminder for practitioners to pause, recharge and prioritise their own wellbeing.
Congratulations to the WINNER of the wellbeing prize - Psychologist Mitch Spring - pause for some self care nourish time.
A heartfelt thank you to Connections WA for bringing the Rockingham & Kwinana MHPN community together, it was such a meaningful morning.
🌿 Because wellbeing matters—especially for those who spend their days caring for others.
