“Sweet Sweet Home”

Home, is it a building? Is it a person? Is it a country? Is it easily found or easily lost? Is it tangible? Is it breakable? Is it a feeling or is it fiction? Is home a flurry of ideals and dreams waiting to come true or is home wherever you are and with whoever is in front of you?

How is it that we all have a ‘home’ and yet are all still craving to find it? Some say home is where the heart is but sometimes my heart grows wings and feels far away.

For me, home is here, right now, with you. Home is something I choose to find wherever I am. Christ is my rock, my firm foundation, my security and my forever. He is my home and He is not subject to the stages and seasons of life.

My sweet sweet home is found in Jesus!

Surrounded by chaos,
Surrounded by noise.
The world feels crushing, drowning in the storm.
When my heart feels heavy & my head slumps down.
All I can see is me as the oppression surrounds.

‘Look up’ Jesus says
‘Look up and see that I am near,
I’m beside you, I’m around you, I’ll surround you!
I’ll silence the storm,
I’ll carry the chaos,
I don’t mind the mess,
I conquered the one who tries to oppress.
So look up,
See me,
Let me love you through’

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” ~ Romans 15:13

This peice has been such a journey to create over the past months! On my good days and my bad, painting this has been a constant reminder of who I put my faith, trust and hope in! The Holy Spirit is with us, in us and for us! đŸ€đŸ•Šïž
