Helen's Handmade Corner My name is Helen and I create handmade Memory Bears, Keepsake Bears & soft toys on order. A very personal, one of a kind, unique gift.

Memory Bears are lovingly handcrafted from clothing that you choose that has special meaning to you. A beautiful keepsake to cherish & to remember special times. Typical turnaround time is approx 1 month from the time I receive your clothing. Please be patient during busy periods, as I take great care in producing the highest quality products for you & your loved ones.

Keepsake/Memory Quilt - Custom Made
**This is a made to order custom quilt. Made from clothing that you supply**
The pricing is as follows:
$140 + $13 postage for a quilt made from adult clothing
$155 + $13 postage for a quilt made from baby/kids clothing

A unique one of a kind Memory/Keepsake quilt made from the clothing of your loved one.
This is a basic style lap size quilt. Approx 120cm x 120cm (47” x 47”). The size may vary slightly depending on the quantity of clothing sent.
The cost includes the batting, coordinating cotton fabric for the border/back & the time to create your quilt.
There is a large amount of work to do to make your special quilt. Please allow approx. 4-6 weeks, from the time I receive your clothing, for your one of kind quilt to be made.
The clothing is cut into a range of different squares & the size of the squares will depend on the type of clothing.
You can also personalize the quilt with a name for an additional $5 fee.
A lot of care will be taken with your clothing & you will have a beautiful quilt to treasure.
Fabric Information
Each Quilt is unique & made from your loved ones clothing.
The fabrics that work best are: cotton (shirts & trousers), flannel, broadcloth & similar cotton items.
Fabrics that don’t work are: any see through material (silk, chiffon, crepe, cotton voile, georgette, etc), leather & some knitted items.
If the quilt is to be made from baby clothing, you will need approx. 30-35 items of baby clothing Or less clothing but with some receiving blankets, cot sheets, swaddles, etc.
If the quilt is to be made from adult clothing, you will need approx. 8-12 shirts.

I understand that you may be limited in what clothing you have & I will do my upmost to make you a special quilt that you can cherish.
If you are unsure if your items of clothing will suit, please contact me & let me know what you have & I can let you know if it’s ok.
Also, please let me know if you would like any left over material returned to you so I can add this to the postage fee.
