And this one has a lovely story behind it — this particular print was commissioned by Ali France. 💛

I love the idea that artwork can have a story before it even finds its way into someone’s home.

Can you believe I’ve been the new owner of Makers on Main for nearly 3 months!

Lots has changed and it’s definitely been a challenge changing the store and making it my own. There’s still a little more to do, but I’m getting there!

I’m really enjoying being part of the Samford community and especially love the artists and makers popping in for a chat. That’s honestly been one of my favourite parts.

Three months in and I’m really enjoying the journey! 🌿🤍

My littlest maker…

I have to admit, this one makes my mumma heart a little bit happy.

At just 10 years old, my daughter has been busy drawing, creating and making her very own range of Christmas cards to sell at Makers on Main. 🥰

They are completely her — colourful, quirky, a little bit whimsical and full of the wonderful imagination that only a 10-year-old can have.

There’s something so lovely about watching your kids make something with their own hands, decide they want to share it with others and then proudly see it sitting in a shop.

I may be a little biased… but I think they’re pretty adorable. ❤️

So if you’re in Makers over the next few weeks, take a peek at her little Christmas collection. 🎄

Our youngest maker might just have some of the cutest cards in the shop. 🥰

✨ A little Christmas glow ✨

There’s something so lovely about these little ceramic houses, especially when the candle is flickering inside and their tiny windows begin to glow. 🕯️🏠

Each one has been lovingly made by hand, with its own little shape, texture and character. They’re not perfect — and that’s what makes them so beautiful.

A simple little piece to bring out each Christmas, adding a soft, warm glow to your home. 🤍

Look what Wendy Hillhecker has dropped into Makers! 🦘❤️

These gorgeous little wooden kangaroos… now, is it a puzzle or is it an ornament? 🤔 Either way, I think they’re just beautiful!

Handcrafted right here in Samford by our very talented local wood turner Wendy.

And while she was here, she also brought in these adorable little pin cushions and trinket boxes. Just the sweetest little handmade pieces.

I love having these beautiful local creations in the shop — you really can’t beat something handmade right here in our own backyard. ❤️

Pop in and have a look — I think the kangaroos might be a favourite! 🦘

Well… Christmas has officially started sneaking into Makers on Main!

We’re not saying you need to start thinking about Christmas yet… 👀
BUT the handmade goodies are arriving and they’re making it very difficult to resist! 😂

A little shop transformation is happening!

I want to give a HUGE shout-out to my Dad and my wonderful family for all their help bringing this idea to life. ❤️ There’s nothing quite like having a family team behind you when you have a vision in your head and need a few extra hands to make it happen!

I absolutely LOVE it when an idea starts coming together. 🥰

We’ve opened up the space, created wider aisles, brought in more natural tones and timber, and I’m loving how much lighter and more inviting the shop feels already.

And we’re not finished yet! 👀

The curtains are coming to cover the storage underneath, and then comes the fun part… STYLING! 🎄✨

So, consider this a little sneak peek because it’s definitely still a work in progress — but I couldn’t wait to share it!

Stay tuned… I think it’s going to be pretty special. 🤎

We’re excited to welcome Glass Artistry to our Makers Collective! 💚

Beautifully crafted glass pieces that are as unique as they are eye-catching. From gorgeous glass coasters and plates to delicate pendants, earrings and magnets, there’s something for everyone.

And we absolutely love the little glass bird sculptures — they’re such beautiful pieces to brighten up a home.

Glass Artistry is a Brisbane-based studio with a real passion for the craft, combining traditional glass techniques with contemporary design and kiln-formed glass.
