Earlier this year, we travelled to the Dominican Republic in search of Larimar, a rare blue gemstone found in only one place on Earth.

We’ve just launched The Road to Larimar — a collection of crystals, specimens and jewellery hand-selected during the trip, along with a behind-the-scenes look at the journey that brought them to Samford.

To celebrate, we’re also opening the shop early on Saturday 20 June for A Morning With Larimar, a guided meditation and journalling experience with local meditation guide Lydia Majoli.

Mother’s Day is sneaking up again, which means Samford may shortly be full of people wandering around saying things like “she said she didn’t want anything…” while quietly panicking.

If you’re still figuring it out, we’ve just unpacked a lot of new jewellery at Feel Crystals, including some really lovely ready-to-gift sets, crystal hearts and a few special gemstone bracelets we don’t often get in this quality.

And honestly, one of the nicest ways to do Mother’s Day is probably not overcomplicating it. Come into the shop together, wander through the crystals and jewellery, then head next door to villagekitchensamford for lunch and a wine. Easy.

As a mother-daughter business ourselves, we know the best gifts are usually the ones that feel thoughtful rather than overdone.
