Friday Heart Starter!

Sid nailed this 78cm Jewie on the Shorncliffe Pier this week.

Using Hardyhead, it did not take long for this guy to take the bait and give Sid a great fight!

There have been some nice schools of these guys hanging around the Shorncliffe Pier and are either taken at night or early morning.

Soft Plastic, Hard Body Lures, Live Baits and Dead Baits are all working, so there is no excuse not to go and get stretched!

Well done Sid!

Have you ever had a session where you just catch wierd stuff?

Monday on the Shorncliffe Pier, struggled to lose a bait but still managed to watch Ian tangle with a Bristle Worm.

Ian got smart and sacrificed his hook!

I caught a couple of Tripod Fish, wierd but cool.

Today I had a couple of minutes so I ducked down to Baxters Boat Ramp where I caught a legal Buck Muddie... It came out already tied up!!!

Not sure if I want to fish tomorrow......

Monday morning Heart Starter!

Glenn the Bream Master of Shorncliffe Pier caught up with yiung Caden yesterday.

End result was Caden with this cracker 31cm Bream!

Well done Caden, that is one to be proud of.

During the week, I caught up with Andy, the mastermind behind the Bowdi, the perfect solution to overnight camping on your boat.

Anyway, the fish were safe, well apart from the Stingray that really tested my Whiting gear!

It was a good chance to stop for a moment and catch up. A lot of laughs, solved one or two world issues! Happy "Dags Day" Andy, have to do it again soon.

Friday Heart Starter!

Mixed bag this week, Capt Jack with a few crackers and proof he paid his Tax Bill, Garry nailed a very nice Flattie on the Shorncliffe Pier and my token gesture, a little Snapper from the Shorncliffe Pier as well.

We did see a large school of Long Tail Tuna carving up the bait fish as well.

Suprise of the day was a huge Dugong hanging around the Shorncliffe Pier!

Chasing Whiting at Hayes on Monday...

This Horse nailed me! 1-3kg Exalt, 2000 Daiwa Exceler, 6lb Braid, 10lb Kwik Rig Pre-looped Paternoster, game on!

This one tested everything, the rod, the drag and my knots but the thing that almost lost me this 43cm beast was the pair of Pelicans that tried to steal it!!!

Aaron had to run interference and it still lost a couple of scales!

If it is not the Taxman, it is Pelicans!

No Whiting but 4 Blue Swimmers, and 5 small Flat Tops and a few laughs!
