Casual | Immediate Start | Afternoon Shifts

PATS Sapphire Central is one of the Gemfields' historic treasures. We love the character of our old buildings... but the spiders and their cobwebs don't tell the history of the place, so we'd like to politely evict them! 🕷️😉

We're looking for someone who takes pride in helping keep our property clean, tidy and welcoming for every visitor.

Approx. 3-hour afternoon shifts a few days each week on a roster.

Your role includes:
✨ General cleaning and presentation
🕸️ Cobweb removal
🌿 Light gardening, weeding and raking
💦 Hosing outdoor areas
🪑 Keeping outdoor seating clean and inviting

We're looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, has a great eye for detail, and enjoys working independently.

No formal qualifications are required. All equipment is provided. You'll simply need to complete the free Queensland Government Do Food Safely online course before starting.

CASUAL KITCHEN & CAFÉ TEAM MEMBER

📍 PATS Sapphire Central – Home of Pat's Gems Tourist Fossicking Park & Scrub Blush Café

We're looking for an experienced hospitality all-rounder to join our team ASAP.

The role includes:

☕ Barista coffees
🍳 Short-order cooking
🥖 Baking bread and bakery items
🥧 Sweet and savoury baking
🧹 Maintaining high hygiene standards
🤝 Working as part of a great team

What we need:

✅ Previous commercial kitchen experience
✅ Short-order cooking experience
✅ Barista experience
✅ Strong work ethic
✅ Pride in presentation
✅ Reliable and punctual
✅ Team player
✅ Contactable references

Hours & Conditions:

• Minimum 2 full days per week
• Additional shifts available
• Seasonal position through to end of August
• Potential ongoing employment for the right person
• Award wages apply
• Immediate start available

Accommodation is NOT provided.

This role may suit eligible visa holders seeking regional work requirements; however, completion of the full 88-day requirement cannot be guaranteed.
