I am closed today.
We are saying goodbye to our beautiful Mia cat.
She is 21 years old, its a sad day, but also a bit of relief, as her body just isn't keeping up with her.
She's an amazing girl, beautiful, and so clever. She's given us many years of love, and a few headaches in true Bengal style.
She's travelled the country twice, once by plane when she was given to us as a housewarming present, and once in my van when we moved to WA.
I am currently enjoying snuggles in bed with Mia and both dogs.

🍅 A look at all the vegetable seedlings growing in my greenhouse

🍄 This weekend I will feed my tomatoes in the greenhouse, I use fish hydrolosate and kelp, both available in store.

🌼 I grow my seedlings in The Green Life Soil Companies wicking bed mix, available in store. As its made specially for shallower beds, find it holds moisture really well. I trialled last year with different mixes and my seedlings I started in wicking bed mix were both lusher and bigger than in other mixes I used.
It is Certified Organic.

🍆 The consensus is i need to put shelves in this weekend

Growing your own food isn't about cost for me, its about knowing what I'm eating, being a bit self sufficient and the therapeutic benefits of gardening.

My breakfast this morning is from my lovely chickens and the veggie gardens growing out the front of the shop.

We still have lots of English spinach in stock, I've only got 2 plants and that's enough for 2 people.

I have spent mushroom blocks for sale, (variety unknown) $4 each or 3 for 10, these most likely won't produce mushrooms, I love them as mulch. They create a great barrier for weeds and hold moisture.

Check out the gardens when you are in next, my photos don't do them justice. They are growing in organic vegetable mix and I add fish hydrolosate and kelp fortnightly. (all available in store).
