Hi Artlovers, what a great weekend spent in Alice Springs at the Desert Mob Exhibition. We met a lovely young Papunya Tula artist Angus Tjungurrayi pictured here with Danny and one of his paintings, caught up with the fabulous Cecilia Alfonso, manager of Warlukurlangu Arts and took in the exhibition - photo of a painting by one of our favourite artists Steven Jupurrurla Nelson.

Hello Artlovers, it is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of one of Australia’s great First Nations artists Barbara Weir. Barbara left us on 3 January and was laid to rest in the Alice Springs Cemetery on 3 February. In 2007 I was thrilled to join her and her aunties on a bush painting trip - memories to be cherished. Barbara was the daughter of Minnie Pwerle from whom she was separated as a child as one of the “stolen generations”.

Hi Everyone, when I’m not engaged in everything art I have another life as a professional manager. I’m a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders and recently celebrated 20 years as a member of the IML. I’m pictured here with Sam Bell presenting me with my certificate. The IML had many achievements in 2022 and I was happy to share in the celebrations.

Hi Artlovers, Danny and I had the great pleasure of seeing “Sunshine Super Girl” at QPAC last night. It is the heartwarming story of Wiradjuri Australian tennis legend Evonne Goolagong Cawley. We had on stage “courtside” seats and thoroughly enjoyed the experience - what a great woman!
