CLOSING DOWN SALE NOW ON
This is not just the end of a chapter for us — it’s the end of our bookshop story.
This has been such a hard decision to make, because the bookshop has not failed. In so many ways, she was only just beginning.
Over the past 17 months, this little space has grown into something I could never have fully imagined. It has been full of warmth, connection, and quiet magic. I’ve been so deeply moved by the support, the conversations, the familiar faces, and the love you’ve all poured into it.
She was stepping into her second year with real momentum, and I began this year feeling so excited — ready to bring new ideas to life, to grow what we’d built, and to dream even bigger.
But things changed.
Unfortunately, our current location can’t continue to support the bookshop safely, and due to circumstances beyond our control, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to close.
We started to dream of what could come next.
A coffee bookshop in town, a space for local art, more events… it all felt so possible.
Then suddenly, with so much uncertainty ahead for small businesses — especially in a town like ours that relies on tourism — taking on a new space that we needed to put more money into, so soon after everything we’ve already invested began to feel like too much of a risk.
There’s a lot of sadness in this decision, but also so much gratitude.
This bookshop has been truly special. It’s been a place of stories, of connection, of small everyday moments that have meant so much. I will carry all of that with me.
Thank you for being part of it. Thank you for showing up, for supporting this dream, and for making it what it was 💛
For now, I’ll be slowing down a little — spending time in the garden, learning, and finding my way into whatever comes next 🌱
With love,
Nicola
