Sewing Totes have really come into their own over the last several years. This is the "Love to Stitch" Tote, and it features large pockets, one with a zipper and plastic if you like to see the contents. The pocket on the left, with pretty embroidery along the top, is plenty large enough to cater for A4 size patterns, or fabrics, threads etc.

Just a question to our U.S. Quilters ~ mostly I see pieced quilts ~ and they are often intricate and very beautiful. My question: do you ever make quilts that mainly feature embroidery and/or applique? I hardly ever see quilts in this style from the U.S.

"Burlesque Rose" Needlework Folder was quite a departure from my usual soft and pretty fabrics. The initial inspiration came from the fabric resembling fishnet stockings, and also from our daughters who were, at the time, performing at various events, sometimes costumed in exciting and quite racy outfits. Ideas and inspiration sometimes arrive completely out of the blue, simmering away underneath the surface, ready to emerge when you find them. The kit is very reasonably priced, but if you want all the bells and whistles, we do have deluxe kits available.

We have a very limited number of kits in these lovely pieced quilts: Boulevard of Roses and Sunshine Boulevard. Both use the same pattern and layout, but with different fabrics. Please note: Boulevard of Roses has only one Paris-themed fabric in the last of our possible kits in this design, as we have sold out of the others used in this quilt. Sunshine Boulevard has all the same fabrics as shown in the sample quilt.

To my mind, pretty things never really go out of fashion. Whether it's a quilt, a dress, a sewing folder, pretty chinaware on your shelf, or just a pretty sunset ~ they all give joy and meaning to our lives. Fabrics can convey this joy just in themselves, and we often just hold a special fabric, put it to our face, as we would a beloved pet, just feeling the joy. And when we make it into something we love, that's even more special. What are your favourite fabric styles these days? Have they differed over the years? I know mine have, but I always come back to pretty ones. How about you?

This gorgeous large quilt features squares placed on point, separated by a peeper, which, if you wish, you can twist and catch down to give more movement to the design. Current kits are shown in the group of fabrics pictured. We have a very limited number in these lovely fabrics.
