Our company was established in 1947 by two Italian brothers, Orazio and Carmelo Cantarella, who recognised a need for European foods in Australia. However, when it came to coffee, they knew coffee tastes best when it’s fresh, so in 1958 they began roasting small amounts of premium Arabica coffee at their food importing premises in Sydney’s Haymarket, initially supplying Sydney’s first ‘Italian cafés’. This is how the ‘Vittoria Coffee’ brand was born. Now, over 50 years later, as well as a major supplier and importer of European food, our company is the largest pure coffee company in Australia and Vittoria Coffee is Australia’s number one pure coffee brand.*

Faema No-Stop (1976–1980)

The Faema No-Stop is a semi-automatic Italian espresso machine designed by Osvaldo Carrara, celebrated for its bold fluted bodywork - one of the first ever moulded in Bayer's ultra-tough Makrolon.

Built around a continuous-dispensing "No-Stop" brewer, it fed a 2.5-litre Pyrex reservoir kept hot by a thermosiphon base.

This preserved example pairs a single espresso group with that signature brewer, its snap-off panels making service effortless. A genuine leap forward in both form and function, and a design landmark of its era.

The Faema Mercurio (1954) is a rare vintage Italian piston-lever espresso machine from the mid-1950s, celebrated for its gleaming chrome body, golden front grille and planet-inspired styling. Nicknamed a braccio in Naples, its steam-free piston system delivered espresso with remarkable speed and ease. This restored example still wears its original Bakelite k***s and the period slogan "Infuso di Caffè Idrocompresso." A striking blend of futuristic mid-century design and the hand-pulled craftsmanship that shaped modern espresso.
