Here’s a look at our work for Aussie Metalcore band . Full live rig build which included IEM setup, 3 pedalboards, cable looms, playback and a bunch more.

A few Deluxe special touches include the 4 channels of Midi that run between racks are all via Ethernet, Midi to and from the pedalboards are run over XLR for a more secure connection, colour coded looms for easier patching and 100v to 240v compatible.

We managed to fit everything into 5 SKB flight cases and it all came in under 32kg - perfect for flying!

Stay tuned for Part 2 where we’ll take a closer look at the pedalboards.

Built on a Mono medium board and powered by a Strymon Zuma, this board build allows our customer to use four cable method, with option for a second wet amp. The loom includes a TRS cable to allow the amp's switching capabilities to be accessed via the Musicom EFX MK-VI. A benefit of running power in your loom is that you can avoid ground loops by having your amp and pedalboard plugged into the same power source.

Because this build is super compact, we have really taken advantage of the EFX MK-VI's features. The second function out is being used to recall favourites on the Flint; the H90 is set up in two separate loops to allow for two algorithms to operate independently, in different parts of the chain. Speaking of compact, there was no room for a tuner so we've used the mute switch on Musicom to send a message to the H90 to access the tuner function.

NEW PEDAL DAY. The new Sloer. A massively ambient, STEREO reverb to end them all. The only choice you have to make, is black or blue?!

We’re installing new cabinets and swapping everything over, which makes it a great time to do a little Tuesday morning stroll through the pedals 🌸

Don’t live locally but want us to build your board? Send it in to us!

Out customer sent their board from New South Wales; it had been previously assembled but needed some TLC, so Maz stripped everything away and rebuilt it from scratch.

New Dual Loc, new Free The Tone Slim cables to ensure everything fit. The board is wired for 4-Cable-Method, with the junction box handling the ins and outs.

New to the board is the Ibanez Tube Screamer Mini and the ISP Decimator which we set up to gate in two seperate spots; both after the drives and at the beginning of the FX loop, making noise non-existent but allowing wet effects to trail off.

Built on a Metro 16 and powered by a Strymon Ojai and brought to life here at Deluxe.

Mallrat’s Playback/Autotune rig recently got an overhaul before a big second half of the year.

We added a USB-C power brick that meant both laptops could be powered off one outlet, reseated and rerouted all internal power, audio and data cables to make troubleshooting easier and added additional inputs/outputs to the patch panel to accommodate an update in setup for the band.

We also added an additional power outlet which meant the band could use an Australian power board while overseas.

Lastly, we made a new 4 way loom for patching the vocal effects, keeping those connections and cables separate from playback to ensure ease of set up.

Brought to life here at Deluxe.

We recently made up 3 Quad Cortex rigs for as they embarked on their European tour.

Built on Temple Solo 18’s, powered by Cioks DC7s. After much research we found that we could send midi and audio over Ethernet via the nifty RJ4P by One Stage (Australia represent!) This meant we could run a loom from the playback rack to each board which would provide power via powercon, Midi In and stereo audio back to the patch panel; all with only 2 cables!

We had the patch panel custom made on their playback rack and colour coded all outputs to make setting up at all those festivals in Europe a breeze!

The Stonk Box is here, and boy does it stonk!

From Benson: Like the Germanium Fuzz before it, the Stonk Box attempts to take a classic 1960’s fuzz design, and bring the sound into the modern world without bringing any along the flaws and inconsistencies of the original. In this case, we set our eyes on the MK1 fuzz (which is itself a modified version of the very first fuzz ever). We kept the original controls (FILTER and VOLUME), and added a TONE control and a TRIM control to expand the palette of sounds available. Buffer and pedal order friendly (but with no pickup simulation, we had to tweak the output circuit this time). The original circuit is considered one of the hardest of the classic fuzzes to get right because of the difficulty in transistor selec- tion...with our patented technology we can do it easily and consistently...for the first time ever!
