There’s been a lot of talk lately about avocado oil — and reports that some products labelled as avocado oil may actually be adulterated with cheaper oils. 🥑
So we thought it was worth clearing something up about ours.
We’ve always used the same avocado oil, from the same trusted supplier, and we’ve always asked for Certificates of Analysis to verify what we’re buying.
With all the recent conversation, we went back to our supplier and asked the question directly:
Is the avocado oil we use authentic, pure and unadulterated?
The answer: yes. ✓
Our supplier verifies the oil through independent laboratory testing, robust supply chain controls and food fraud prevention measures. Each batch also comes with a Certificate of Analysis, testing its quality and fatty-acid profile against the specification for avocado oil.
Our latest certificate shows exactly what we expect to see — all tested measures within specification.
When we say our Totopos are cooked in avocado oil, that’s exactly what we mean.
