Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible women who make this world kinder, warmer, and brighter.

Today we celebrate every mum, grandmother, stepmum, and mother figure who loves endlessly, gives selflessly, and supports those around them with strength and care. We also recognise the dads who step up and play both roles, giving the same unconditional love, support, and guidance every child deserves.

Today we’re featuring two tasty favourites:

🍫 Chocolate Crackle Cake – Light, crunchy, and full of chocolatey goodness.

🥚 Chocolate Egg Nests – Crunchy chocolate nests filled with mini eggs, perfect for sharing (or sneaking a few yourself!). An alternative to the noodles, wheat and cornflakes could be Rice Bubbles, pretzel sticks, or granola clusters.

We’re now just over 2 weeks away from Easter! We hope some of the egg decorating ideas we’ve shared this week have inspired you to get creative and decorate your own eggs. 🥚✨

To finish off the week, we’re exploring naturally dyed eggs and speckled rice eggs — two simple and fun ways to give your Easter eggs a unique look.

🍃 Naturally Dyed Eggs
Use ingredients like beetroot, turmeric, red cabbage, or spinach to create beautiful natural colours. Simply boil the eggs with your chosen ingredient or soak them in the cooled coloured water for a gentle, earthy tint.

🍚 Speckled Rice Eggs
Place uncooked rice and a few drops of food colouring into a zip-lock bag, add your eggs, and gently shake. The rice creates fun speckled patterns, making each egg unique and playful.

Easter is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to start having a little fun with egg decorating. All this week we’re sharing creative and easy ideas you can try at home with family or friends. 🥚✨

Today we’re looking at marble nail polish eggs, shaving cream marbled eggs, and paper punch eggs — three colourful and creative ways to decorate your Easter eggs.

💅 Marble Nail Polish Eggs
Create beautiful marbled patterns by adding a few drops of nail polish to a bowl of water and gently swirling the colours together. Carefully dip the egg into the water and the design will transfer onto the shell, creating a unique marble effect.

🫧 Shaving Cream Marbled Eggs
Spread shaving cream in a tray and add a few drops of food colouring. Swirl the colours together and roll the egg through the mixture to create soft, pastel marbled patterns. Once dry, gently wipe away the shaving cream to reveal the design.
Tip: If you plan on eating the eggs afterwards, you can use whipped cream instead of shaving cream so the eggs remain food-safe.

✂️ Paper Punch Eggs
Decorate your eggs with tiny paper shapes using craft punches. Hearts, flowers, or circles can be glued onto the egg to create colourful patterns and fun designs. It’s a simple craft that’s great for kids.
