All about passion & sweet memories

People often want to know “why”, and I have a clear reason why. I grew up in a sweet home. My mum was always baking and our home always smelled of fresh baked goodies. When you’re a kid all you care about is when the time comes to eat those goodies, and we were always around to sneak something from mum’s productions. She was always so happy in the kitchen and so meticulous with presentation. I think I got that from her.

Growing up I saw my mum start a chocolate business that was going great. Unfortunately destiny took her away from the kitchen but the times I spent there left me with a deep passion for baking. It felt like living at Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. I have great memories, visual and olfactive.

I love making chocolates! It makes me happy; I relax and I enjoy seeing a smile on people’s faces when they try my sweets. What else I can ask for? Making chocolates is a passion. It connects me to my roots and takes me to sweet memories of my childhood. So, when I decided to try to open my chocolate business for the third time, it was because of those memories and the passion that kept this desire warm inside me.

On my holidays visiting my dad in Brazil I shared with him my passion. He always knew but it felt like something new to share. And dad had a curious secret to share about his dad; It turns out my grandpa Jose was a passionate about sweets too! He had a confectionery factory when my dad was a boy that I never knew about. Dad was sharing his memories about his dad in the factory, preparing candies and he was all over helping! How great is that!!
