The difference between dried basil from a supermarket and fresh basil you grew yourself is something that's hard to put into words. 🌿

Basil is one of those things that rewards you fast. August is the right time to get it started indoors in most parts of Australia, ready to go outside once the cold nights have passed.

For fresh patch to plate herbs, check out the DT Brown Gourmet Range.

Ever grown seedlings indoors and ended up with long, floppy stems that look like they're searching for something? 🌱

That's called 'legginess' and it's almost always caused by not enough light.

Seedlings will stretch toward any light source they can find. The fix:
→ Move them closer to a bright window
→ Rotate pots daily so they don't lean one way
→ A grow light makes a huge difference if you're serious about it

Have you dealt with leggy seedlings? What worked for you? 👇
