If you know us, you know we love furry friends here at the Market.

So, we are very excited to be welcoming the adorable (and adoptable) pup, Storm, along with the wonderful team from Australian Animal Protection Society to our For the Neighbourhood celebrations tomorrow.

They will be in Market Square from 10am-2pm with donation tins and profiles of animals in need of a home.

Every day, food waste from Prahran Market is given a second life — transformed into nutrient-rich soil food and even pet treats, rather than ending up in landfill.

The team behind this incredible process will be joining our For the Neighbourhood celebrations, bringing our very own Prahran Market blend along with them.

Buy some this weekend, and you’ll go in the draw to win a lemon tree 🍋

Each bag diverts around 15kg of food waste from landfill, turning it into valuable nutrients that go straight back into the soil!
