Every Wednesday afternoon Judy and Ray race home from school for what has become a very important tradition. They set up their chess board on the rug in Judy’s bedroom and the game begins. Marj, Judy’s mum, brings them biscuits and milk in teacups. They insist on the teacups as they think it’s more fitting for sophisticated chess players like themselves.
Ray always claims he’s only one move away from winning, while Judy quietly smiles because she usually is! ♟️🥛🍪🐭✨
