Maddy picked up her Everfloré today… and when it was time to leave she asked if she could give me a hug. 🥹

Yep. This is why I do what I do.

She had spent thousands of dollars on the flowers for her wedding day, so for her, preserving them and turning them into art for her home was a no-brainer.

Because those flowers weren’t just wedding decor.
They were there while she walked down the aisle. They were in her hands as she made some pretty enormous promises to the person she loves.

They’re part of the photos, the memories and the story of that day.

And now, instead of disappearing after the wedding, they’ve become a 35 × 70cm piece of art that gets to live on the wall in their home.

Her real wedding bouquet was carefully pressed and reconstructed into an original botanical artwork. This started as a real wedding bouquet. 🌸

Every flower was carefully pressed, reconstructed and arranged by hand to create an original piece of botanical art.

And then we took it one step further…

This is an Everfloré — a fine art reproduction of the bride’s pressed wedding flowers, created so she can keep the beauty and colour of her bouquet artwork without the natural ageing that happens to real pressed flowers.

This one is a BIG 35 × 70cm panorama and I think it really shows what wedding bouquet preservation can become. (I want to leave it on my wall 🤪)

I’m not a crafter… preserved flowers are simply my medium. 🎨

And absolutely no shade to crafters — there are some incredibly talented ones out there! 😂

But I’ve always thought of what I do a little differently.

Some artists work with paint.
Some with clay.
Some with textiles.

I work with flowers.

I press them, pull them apart, reconstruct them petal by petal and then use them to create an entirely new piece of art.

This one is an Everfloré — created from a bride’s real pressed wedding bouquet, then professionally photographed and reproduced as an archival fine art print designed to preserve the look of the artwork without the natural ageing of the original flowers.

For me, bouquet preservation has never just been about saving flowers.

🌸 Spring is here… which means spring wedding season is officially here! 🌸

And a little reminder from your friendly neighbourhood bouquet preservation artist 😂 — have you actually booked someone to preserve your wedding bouquet yet?

We’ll always try our best to squeeze in those last-minute “HELP, I got married yesterday, can you save my flowers?!” messages 😅 But there’s a limit to how many wedding bouquets I can preserve each week from my little home studio.

So if preserving your wedding flowers is something you know you want, please don’t leave it until after the wedding.

And if you’ve already enquired with me but haven’t officially booked — now is a very good time to get that sorted! 🌷

Your wedding date is only secured once:
• your booking form is completed, and
• the $220 Flower Preservation Fee is paid.

The good news? You don’t have to pay for your finished artwork now. The remaining invoice isn’t due until just before I start working on your piece, usually around 4–7 months later.

And if you’re looking at the wedding budget thinking, “Can I really justify one more wedding expense?” — here’s an idea I wish more couples thought of:

Ask family or wedding guests who aren’t sure what to give you to contribute towards your bouquet preservation. 💐

Instead of another toaster, you could end up with your actual wedding flowers turned into a piece of art you’ll have hanging in your home for years.

How to cut a circle out of glass without breaking it 👇 PS Turn sound on for the real experience 🔊

After breaking a couple of sheets of glass trying to master cutting larger circles, I FINALLY got it. 🙌

If you’re learning how to cut glass circles with a circle glass cutter, there are a few little things that made all the difference for me — preparing a clean cushioned surface, using a little machine oil, practising the full 360° movement before scoring, keeping the pressure even and NEVER going over the same score line twice.

Then comes the nerve-racking part… running the score and breaking away the excess glass. 😬

I’ve put the whole process into this carousel so you can save it and come back to it next time you’re cutting circular glass.

And learn from me 😂 — practise on smaller circles first before attempting a big one… and buy spare glass. You may need it.
