So today we went to the Anzac Memorial in Sydney. Inside each plaque is a glass vessel that holds the soil from each place a fallen NSW soldier was from. Steve made over 1600 of these vessels last year so it was very special to finally see the finished memorial. There are 8 full walls like the 2 shown in the pics. Lest We Forget.

This is my Dad Bob Cox. Dad is 80 years young in May. Some of you may recognise his name as he started working for Carlton Glass Company at the tender age of 14 after his Dad passed away. He worked as a young man to help his Mum support his brother and sister. He married, had 2 daughters and took over Carlton Glass Company. He developed many glassblowing skills in his time, and although not "school educated" he learned chemistry, maths and physics on the job and became very knowledgable in these areas. I can comfortably call my dad an "expert" when it comes to the manufacture and knowledge of precision hydrometers.
Dad retired quite a number of years ago but not before passing on the business and his knowledge to Steve. This is Dads story, keep an eye out for Steves in the near future.
