"Polished Horns Australia is a hobby activity for retired fencer Brian Newman. Brian, originally from Maroon, now lives in Surat. He became fascinated by the process of turning old cattle horn into shining, unique works of art. He polishes his own supply of horns, which he sourced from North Qld, and also polishes and mounts horns for private owners. Polishing horns is a bit like polishing gemstones - each one is unique, and each is usually hidden by a dirty, bland exterior, as this before and after photo of one set shows.
