When a terrarium isn’t quite working, you don’t always need to start again.

The fern and Aglaonema had different leaf shapes, but they were a similar height and shared the same warm green tone. Instead of complementing one another, they blended into one large green shape.

I replaced the Aglaonema with a Zebra plant. Its cooler, patterned foliage creates more contrast, while the extra height gives the planting better definition.

Just one small swap, but such a difference.

Which version do you prefer?

How many terrariums does a girl need to make to reach 10K? 🌿

Today it’s the Tall Orb’s turn, one of my favourite shapes for creating a tiny green world.

Follow along and help me get there 🤞

Yes, it is.

Not all terrariums need to be sealed. Our Temperate can be enjoyed open, giving the plants more airflow and creating a looser, more natural little garden under glass.

But here’s the clever bit, add the top and it becomes an enclosed terrarium.

Two completely different looks from the same vessel, depending on how you want to grow it.

Bringing this one back because she deserves another moment 🌿
Still one of my favourite terrariums I’ve made.

Would you keep the dome on or off?

Day 11 and today we’re going tiny 🌿

This is the smallest terrarium I’ve made in the series so far, and proof that you really don’t need a lot of space to create a little world.

I have a soft spot for the tiny ones. There’s something about squeezing all those layers, moss and plants into such a small space that makes them extra cute.

Would you go tiny or are you a bigger-is-better terrarium person? 🌿
