💚 Did you know we can order it in?

We're a small physical store — which means as much as we'd LOVE to stock every option of everything, we'd probably need to knock down a few walls first. 😂

But what you see in store isn't necessarily all we can access.

Through our suppliers, we have access to a much larger range of mobility and daily living products, and we're more than happy to look at options and order something in specifically for you.

Maybe you need a particular style of rollator or walker.

Maybe you're looking for a bathroom, dressing or kitchen aid that we don't currently have on the shelf.

Maybe you've seen something somewhere and you're wondering whether we can get it.

Ask us. 💚

If we can source it for you, we'll happily order it in — and if we can't, we'll tell you that too.

Being a small store doesn't mean we have to have a small range.

Sometimes it just means your product is waiting at our supplier instead of sitting on our shelf. 😊

🏁 The Amazing Race has hit FIG! 🏁

We've already had so much fun watching the different groups come through FIG and choose one of the three challenges we've set for them! 😂

There have definitely been some laughs, and we're only a little bit sad that we can't actually join in ourselves!

A huge thank you to everyone who's participating and bringing such great energy into the store — and a massive thank you to Swan Hill Incorporated for putting together such a fun local campaign. We absolutely love anything that gets people out exploring our local businesses and discovering places they may not have visited before. 💚

Just a little reminder: FIG will be CLOSED this Friday for the Grand Final Public Holiday.

But when we reopen... you might notice FIG looking a little different. 👀🌿

We're taking advantage of the day off to give the shop a bit of a freshen-up, and we can't wait for you to see it!

The amazing race starts this Friday!

The countdown is on! From Friday 18 September, the Amazing Race Swan Hill is back and ready to take you across Swan Hill.

Solve the clues, visit local businesses, complete challenges and collect your stamps as you race your way towards some fantastic prizes.

It’s a great school holiday activity for families, friends and anyone ready to put their local knowledge to the test.

Friday 18 September – Friday 2 October 2026

⏰ Remember – the race takes place during participating businesses’ normal trading hours. If your next location is closed, you’ll need to wait until they reopen to continue the race.

Watching 10 Things I Hate About You with our kids tonight and having that weird “holy s**t, we’re the parents now” moment. 😂

It got me thinking about how much things change… and how much stays the same.

The movies we loved.
The things that made us laugh.
The little rituals.
The memories we make with the people around us.

And honestly, that’s something I love about Fig too.

We get to be part of people’s everyday lives — helping them get out and about, discover things they enjoy, build confidence, connect with others and create their own memories.

Because at the end of the day, life isn’t just about the important stuff. It’s about the moments in between. 🌿

🌿 WE’RE HIRING – SUPPORT & OPERATIONS MANAGER

FIG Supports is growing, and we’re looking for someone pretty special to join our team.

We’re seeking an experienced, organised and proactive person to step into a new Support & Operations Manager role here in Swan Hill.

This is a permanent part-time position of approximately 24 hours per week and would suit someone with experience in disability/community services who loves problem-solving, supporting a team and making things run smoothly behind the scenes.

“I’m too young for a walker.”

It's something I've heard more than once at FIG.

Sometimes it's said with a laugh. Other times there's genuine embarrassment behind it — because somewhere along the way, we've decided that needing a mobility aid says something about a person's age or independence.

After years of working with people who use mobility aids, I think we've got that completely backwards.

This FIG Journal is about walkers, independence and why perhaps we're asking the wrong question altogether.

A little FIG refresh is underway 🌿

If you've been in lately, you may have noticed things are looking a little different!

We've moved our counter into its new home, added loads of new slatwall, replenished stock and started moving things around to make better use of our space.

We're definitely not finished yet! There's more slatwall still to come, plenty more reorganising to do, and a new glass display counter on the way and new paint for the outside.

But already, the difference is HUGE. The store feels so much more open, and from our new counter position we can finally see almost the entire shop. 🙌

FIG has changed so much since we first opened our doors — and apparently we're still incapable of leaving things alone for very long. 😂

Little by little, it's all coming together. 🌿
