THIS WEEKS REPORT 8/10/2026;

THE MURRAY:
- Billy Sheehan fished at Narrung where he finished up with 7 yellas 40cm all caught on worms.
- Some mates fishing from the swan hill boat ramp landed a 48cm on worms.

THE LITTLE MURRAY:
- Campers at the Big 4 caravan park have been catching yellas between 38 & 54cm using worms.

THE EDWARD:
- China Gibson reported the yellas have been caught around Moulamien and in the Billabong on bait.

THIS WEEKS REPORT 1/10/2026:

THE MURRAY:
- Young Lewie Mensworth fished from the bank at Tooleybuc with his dad and he finished up with 4 yellas the 49cm and a small all caught on yabbies,his dad could only manage a carp.

LAKE MERAN:
- I know it's out of season but it's good to see small cod getting caught in the lake considering the lake dose'nt get stocked and there have been a couple of yellas caught and all we need now is the big schools of redfin that people have been seeing start biting.

Young Hux's Kyalite yella-well done young man!!!

This weeks report take 2:

THE WAKOOL:
-Josh Standen just posted that the yellas are on the go at Kyalite,it took his mate 5 mins to catch his first big yella on worms.

LAKE MERAN:
- Phill Mangano tried the lake today hoping to pick up a yella a or redfin,he found big schools of reddies but they were'nt eating,he tried an Oargee on his way back to the boatramp hoping to entice a yella,but picked up a healthy cod instead-the reddies will fire up soon,it's generally in october when the willows start to flower.

THIS WEEKS REPORT 25/9/2026:

The Murray is still dropping here at swan hill it will get down to 2.25mtrs by sunday.

THE WAKOOL:
- Had a couple of mates in early in the week who said they were camped at Tullakool when they landed up to 30 yellas all caught on worms.

THE MURRAY:
- Young Courtney Page caught a nice little cod downstream from the Pental Island caravan park,but I wont post her photo in case keyboard warriors have a "go" at her!! And another cod was caught near the park yesterday on bait as they were targeting yellas.

THIS WEEKS REPORT 18/9/2026:

The murray is still dropping here at swan hill it will reach 2.64mtrs by tuesday this week and probably keep dropping.

THE MURRAY:
- Rohan Fry and his mate Johnny fished in shallow back water at Robinvale where they land 11 yellas 2 cod(released back to the water) and 1 bream using small yabbies shrimp & worms.
- From all reports the yellas are still getting caught around Barham/Koondrook mainly on worms.

With no rain on the horizon and warmer temps forecast we should start to see more anglers hitting the rivers and lakes,

THIS WEEKS REPORT 10/9/2026:

Well we are going to have some better fishing weather this weekend,so hopefully I will a bit more to report next week.

THE MURRAY:
- Had a bloke in this morning who was heading to Beggs Bend off Toll Toll road,where his mate is camped up there who said that a bloke camped next to him had caught 7 good size yellas in 2 days fishing from the bank.
- From all reports the yellas are still on the bite around Barham/Koondrook fishing close to the bank with worms.

THE WAKOOL:
- Josh Standed told me that the camp that had been at Kyalite for the week finished up with some good numbers of yellas caught with lures and bait.

THE EDWARD:
- China Gibson reported that yellas are being caught around Moulamein.

LAKE MERAN:
- The lake is now full with fresh water which will be great for for the yellas and reddies this season.Had a bloke in the shop last weekend and he showed me pictures from his fish finder showing big schools of redfin,so with the onset of warmer weather things should start to fire up.
