Today we remember an incredible and humble Australian whose groundbreaking work transformed melanoma treatment through immunotherapy, changing lives and reshaping cancer care around the world.
When faced with his own diagnosis of glioblastoma, Richard became a pioneer once again. Drawing on lessons learned from melanoma research, he helped advance a world first approach to brain cancer treatment, helping launch further glioblastoma clinical trials.
The team at Peace of Mind Foundation extends deep condolences to Richard's family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Richard. The impact of your work will never be forgotten.

Happiest heavenly birthday to the man who made us The Cookie Clan.

Today, you should have been 35.

We’ve been reflecting on the beautiful life we shared, the incredible kids you gave us, and the memories we hold so deeply in our hearts.

I know you would have been absolutely pi***ng yourself laughing today the boys kicked the footy over the fence behind your resting place at the cemetery and we had to trespass into the local school farm to get it back. Your little girl refused to get out of the car because she thought she’d get in trouble… but the boys, well, they’re just like their dad laughing and cracking jokes while searching for the ball buried deep in a blackberry bush. Mum to the rescue, of course.

We miss you every single day and we’ll never stop talking about the beautiful times we had together.

I hope the beers are cold up there in heaven.
