A local, student-led orchestra makes its debut this Sunday, 2 August! 🎻

Bokonon Orchestra, led by conductor Tim Lin, brings together talented secondary and tertiary musicians from across Sydney for an evening of sweeping Romantic music, orchestral colour and dramatic storytelling. 👑 🎶

The program presents:
🎼 Lalo's Le roi d'Ys Overture
🎼 Tchaikovsky's Slavonic March
🎼 Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor, featuring soloist Leon Lan

This first program showcases a new generation of young musicians taking orchestral music into their own hands, while supporting a great cause. All profits will be donated to the Australian Children's Music Foundation, helping provide music education and instruments to children across Australia. ✨

Join us at Elder Hall on August 15 and 16 for a celebration of music, learning and community. Players of all ages and experience levels are encouraged, and the weekend includes concerts, workshops, masterclasses with guest artists, and a massed ensemble performance!

F. Arthur Uebel Klarinetten's solution is to modify the bell, adding a hole at the point where the E will slightly sharpen, making tuning a lot more comfortable for the player. 🙌

We're looking for a Shop Assistant (part-time with potential full-time advancement) to help with the smooth running of our store and repairs! The job involves answering phone calls, assisting with repairs administration, organising shipments, cleaning instruments, and general shop tasks.
