The Black Samurai Beni Kikokuryu

Absolutely loving how this young male is looking, about 45cm now showing hige fins, high shoulder and perfect scalation.

everyone doubted us, hated what we do,
normality isn't something we do at Next Level Aquatics,
Longfin koi in Australia, with big bodies that grow over 70cm was unheard of, now they are that size at 3 years old, this is our main breeding female.

we didn't come to be like everyone else, we are changing the game completely 🤝

Trust the process ✅️

Eggs - Fry - Fish - 40cm koi in one year
Thats how we do it at Next Level Aquatics | Koi Fish | Butterfly koi

27/09/2026

6 months old today, with the biggest examples being about 24cm,
generally we push growth until a year old then slow down and give their fins a chance to catch up.

The babies from these have hatched last night,
The female Young Kikokuryu ended up spawning, the Golden ochiba didnt yet,
There will be a repeat breeding in a few weeks..

An example of the joys of breeding fish, one female spawns barely any eggs, gets removed into a pond by herself to recover and then releases all eggs by herself unfertilised 👌
