Do you ever find yourself over-buying groceries only to throw out food that goes uneaten or bad? We’ve definitely been there! Food waste is a huge issue in almost every Aussie household, which is part of our reason why we created a meal planner and grocery shopping list for our Minimalist Planner.

☕️
Our foodie-template-duo is here to help you design your week of eating and record all the ingredients you need before embarking your shop. Maximise your time by having a shopping strategy when you hit your local grocer.

🍓
Our templates print easy at home, so scribble all over them, and stick them on your fridge or chuck them in your reusable shopping bag ready for your next foodie outing. Or go paperless and plan it all on your device to be the true eco warrior.

🥑
Don’t forget to identify your goal or focus for the week at the bottom to help you stay on track!

There is an ancient Chinese proverb that goes something like this:

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

Want to do something? Begin.

Start today.

Make a goal. Take action. This very moment.

Have you ever heard that your morning routine starts the night before?

Sleep is possibly the most essential factor in balancing our mental and physical health. Sleep must come before nutrition, sunlight (Vitamin D), movement, and even relationships (good or bad), if we are serious about improving our wellbeing.

Our ability to function productively after a poor night’s sleep is akin to nursing a major hangover. Surprisingly, humans need a minimum of 8 hours sleep, sometimes even 9 hours, to function as a baseline, according to sleep researcher Matthew Walker. No more 6-7 hours of sleep, people. Your body and mind need it!

If we do not get adequate sleep each night, it not only affects our cognitive and physical processing, but can actually kill us (either slowly from diseases like Alzheimer's, cancer, obesity, diabetes, and depression, or swiftly - look up the soccer fan who died at home in 2012 while watching the World Cup for multiple days in a row).

Sleep is so important that we have included it as the very first item on our Self-Care Bingo Card. Play along with us and share your weekly results (look for ‘Self-Care Bingo’ in our Highlights).

Giving yourself a proper night sleep is an act of love. What might you need to reduce or sacrifice in your 24-hours to get at least 8 hours shut-eye? Our founder, Nelly (who loves a good binge) gave up TV during weeknights to reduce screen time/ blue-light exposure to support the natural onset of melatonin and to feel sleepier earlier. What will you do? Share in the comments!

Our planners have been designed with YOU in mind.

Each individual page has been tried and tested by our creator, Nelly, crafted from her own personal organisation experiences and needs.

After sharing her designs with family and friends, Nelly decided to help others (in need of some life-hack TLC) by offering her planners up to the ether.

Under the influence of clutter, our minds are consumed by unnecessary stressors and we can become distracted from what really matters in life.

Whether it is in our physical spaces (rooms/homes), virtual spaces (emails/inboxes), or mental spaces (endless to-do lists), clutter not only affects our sense of order and ease, but can also directly impact our levels of anxiety, sleep, focus, and even our ability to heal (see Dr Esther Stenberg's ‘Healing Spaces’).

Taking simple steps to 'tidy up' these areas in our lives can promote a profound sense of wellbeing, mental clarity, and overall health.

To lend a helping hand in decluttering your life, we have created a new digital product: ‘The Minimalist Planner: Life Organiser’. It is launching very soon and will be available through our Etsy store (link in bio) - watch this ‘space’ 😉

In the meantime, see the likes of and for some inspiration on the mental benefits of tidying up and living a minimalist lifestyle.

"Beneath the clutter of space is the clarity of mind."
