It’s a strange thing, writing this post. 💛

Tula Baba started as a tiny idea during maternity leave with my first baby, a way to bring together all the products that actually helped me, in one place, for other mums going through the same thing. I never imagined it would grow into what it did.

After over 5 years of curating, packing, and (very happily) talking breastfeeding and sleeping schedules with you. I’ve made the decision to sell Tula Baba. It’s genuinely not an easy one - this business has been part of our family’s story - but I know it’s the right time for a new chapter, for me and for Tula Baba.

The store isn’t going anywhere just yet. Orders, click & collect and all the products you love are business as usual while I find the right person to take it forward. If you have any questions please reach out to me.

Thank you for trusting me with your pregnancies, your babies, your gifts and your panicked “do you have this in stock” messages. It has been the honour of a lifetime. 🤍

There’s something different about packing an order from an overseas sender.
As an expat myself, I know what it’s like to go through pregnancy, birth and postpartum without family or friends nearby (especially the first time around) - no one to drop off a meal, no one to sit with the baby while you shower, no one just there.
So when I see an international address on an order, I pack it that little bit more carefully. Every item, every note - because I feel the responsibility that comes with it. I know the weight this gesture holds at such an important time and the yearning the sender feels.
I’m so grateful to connect people to their loved ones at such a special time and if I can make the handwritten note or wrapping or delivery any more special I will (I promise) because I’m so honoured to be part of it.

For those who have been following us for a while know that my husband and I are from South Africa and at least once a year we try to head back to visit family and friends. And so we are pressing pause (in the best possible way) 🤍

We’ll be heading home to South Africa to fill our cups, soaking up family time and meeting our new nephew for the very first time. All orders placed from today 27 March will be sent out on 20 April 2026.
