The Space Between

There is something beautiful about the spaces we often overlook.

The quiet moments between one thing and another.
Between sea and sky.

Light and shadow.

Stillness and movement.

The Space Between was created as an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to notice what exists in those in between moments.

Soft layers of blue, cream, ochre and earth move across the canvas, creating a sense of both distance and closeness, calm and movement.

A reminder that sometimes, there is nothing to find or fix.

We simply need to be still enough to notice what is already there.

The Sea Holds Light

Even in depth, light exists.

This painting began with the feeling of looking out across the sea, where the surface can hold so much movement, yet beneath it there is another kind of stillness.

Layer by layer, colour and mark found their place, slowly revealing something I could feel before I could see it.

A reminder that even in the deepest places, light is still there.
