Our aim: to place a copy of Preparing for Birth: Mothers into the hands of every student midwife in Australia. 💙

These future midwives will support thousands of women and families throughout their careers. By giving them practical, evidence-informed birth education resources now, we hope to help build their knowledge, confidence and passion for woman-centred care.

It was wonderful to see this group of Western Sydney University student midwives with their copies! One university at a time, we’re working towards our nationwide goal.

Yesterday at the CAPEA Education Day at Canberra Hospital, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Sarah Bombell, board member of the Breastfeeding Medicine Network Australia & New Zealand.

The Breastfeeding Medicine Network is a wonderful resource supporting families, midwives, educators, and health professionals with evidence-based care for complex breastfeeding challenges.
