Two casks. Two very different finishes.

Headlands Distilling Co. Apera Cask Wh**ky spends its first four years in a Four Roses ex bourbon cask before a final year in a PX cask, bringing a distinct Spanish sherry influence to the spirit.

Then there’s the Headlands Muscat Cask Wh**ky, aged for four years in the same Four Roses bourbon cask before spending another two years in a Muscat cask.

Both are bottled at 46% ABV and priced at $140.

One brings the rich character of PX. The other leans into a sweeter profile with a long, lingering finish.

From Brisbane to Ho Chi Minh City.

The team at El Ritmo Gin Bar in Brisbane is getting ready for their first trip outside Australia, with a bar takeover in Vietnam just around the corner.

They’re bringing cocktails, good times and a few familiar flavours along for the ride, including gin and tonics inspired by King Orange Gin and charcoal filtered coconut vodkas.

Two weeks to get the passport sorted. Then it’s time to pour something new in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam, here we come.

Sydney meets Hanoi behind the bar.

Vina Bar, the Vietnamese influenced bar from Sydney, is heading to Hanoi for a special bar takeover with Tony Yang bringing the flavours, techniques and stories of Sydney's C*D to Vietnam.

Expect a menu built for the Vietnamese heat, from refreshing carbonated serves to punchier cocktails with plenty of character.

Lady Triệu Gin and coconut charcoal filtered vodka will feature throughout, bringing local Vietnamese spirits into the mix.
