Big congratulations to our friends for opening their flagship store in Green Square! 🙌 ☕️ Had a chance to sit by the brew bar to taste coffees from El Salvador and Kenya ☕️ Their pourover by and roasted by & has so much clarity in the cup. Coffee of the week is Rwanda Marie Bedabasingwa 🍋 🍏 🍫 by It’s rather rare to have a coffee from Rwanda traceable to one single producer. Access to a micro lot like this coffee is typically difficult in Rwanda due to the high costs of separating tiny lots. However being a co-op member of Dukunde Kawa, Marie has access to their own drying mill that minimises the cost and maintains excellent quality.

So thrilled to release this delicious coffee to our subscribers with & 🌺 🍋 🍑 ☕️

Ben from Made of Many: “Burundi is one of my favourite origins, If I could pick three, Burundi would be one. I think it presents a perfect balance between fruited more juicy notes and more floral and herbaceous elements. It is an underdog in the coffee scene and rarely gets enough credit. They produce coffees into their 90’s cup score without much fancy processing techniques. I see Burundi as a higher value to a seasoned coffee person that is just accessing cost vs quality analysis.

I have bought all my Burundi coffees through the cooperative’s partner Green Co, who help in producing quality and increasing the livelihood of farmers on the ground, where it counts.”
