I have been unable to have a blanket or sheet touching my foot since surgery. I was initially just keeping my foot out from under the blanket until the weather started getting colder and was leaving my foot freezing cold. So I got myself a blanket lifter. It sits at the end of my bed between the mattress and bed frame. It’s adjustable and the top of the frame sits about 50cm above the mattress. The blankets sit on top of the frame and clips keep them in place. It’s working wonders for me and allows me to sleep without the blanket causing pain in my foot.

It turns out that I’m not the only one who really likes the blanket lifter. Jellybean loves it too. It’s like a little blanket forte for her and she gets herself comfy under the blankets at the bottom of the bed. She gets the warmth of being under blankets without getting too hot having the blankets directly on her.

I keep meaning to post on here but every morning by the time I get through my morning routine, I’m heading out the door to one of my medical appointments. By the time I get home, half the day is over. Then when I actually remember I wanted to post something, it’s a weird time to post and next thing I know, I have no energy left to create a post. Next minute, I’m going to sleep and waking up to do it all again the next day. Days pass then weeks pass. And I realise it’s now the middle of August and I still have 27 of those Mega Pug Mystery Boxes left I need to try and sell.

I can’t explain how much I am struggling to get through each day. I am in constant pain. I struggle with fatigue and brain fog. And walking is still so limited even with using 2 crutches. So trying to sell these boxes has been the last thing on my mind. But I still have 27 of them to move. They are freaking amazing boxes with over $700 of pug merch in them for just $175. And I have some bits & pieces of stock left that I want to go through and add to boxes as extra little freebies but I haven’t had the energy to do it all yet. Maybe I’ll be ready for the Christmas selling season and you can grab a box so you give the best gift ever. But if you are wanting one of these boxes now, send me a DM. I’ve always wondered what Jellybean gets up to when we’re not home. She gets a snuffle mat when we leave but once she has finished that and is no longer in the lounge room where I can see her on the camera, I don’t know what she does. I’ve assumed that she either lies on my bed or mums bed based on the direct she comes when we get home if she isn’t already at the front door. Well today we found out what she did with her time. It’s been a cold morning so she took herself back to bed. And not my bed that wasn’t made. Nope. She got herself under all of the covers of mum’s nicely made bed. If you didn’t know that Jellybean was the only living being in the house whilst we were out, you would have thought another human had been sleeping in mum’s bed with the covers all nicely pulled back.

7 years ago today, Ref & Serina sat in 3 states of Australia at the same time.

We were on our favourite holiday of a NSW Outback road trip. We had already been to Dubbo, Broken Hill, Silverton and done the drive out to Tibooburra. Whilst staying at Tibooburra, we did a day trip out to Cameron’s Corner. It’s the point where the borders of NSW, Qld and SA meet. The pole the pugs were sitting on in these photos were that point where all 3 states met.

Every year I love when these photos come up in my Facebook memories. I hope I get to take Jellybean on a road trip in the future so she gets to experience what Ref & Serina did.

I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since I adopted Jellybean as this crazy 6 month old albino pug from Pug Patrol Rescue Australia!

It has been an incredible 3 years watching all of the roles she has taken on. Watching her adapt to a new life with me and Ref then one where I can’t take her for walks and then one without Ref. She is an incredibly resistant little girl. She absolutely adored her big brother Ref and misses him as much as I miss him. She loves her enrichment toys, goats horn, squeaky balls and a range of soft toys. She loves to do zoomies though it’s more like she’s doing the beep test inside with sprints between rooms. She loves meal time and her routine of sitting at the kitchen table whilst it is prepared for her. She knows when it’s bone day and knows how to smash out a kangaroo tail. She is not afraid to tell you what she wants whether it’s a kiss, a belly rub or her meals. She is cheeky, loving, boisterous, chill and a total loveable nutter.

She has been the exact pug I have needed over the past 3 years. Firstly helping Ref & I heal after losing Serina. Then being the most caring and in tune pug as both myself and my mum recovered from our car crash injuries. She has really taken on the role of nurse pug for me after going through 2 surgeries in 7 months and continues to look after me as I recover. She always keeps me company, knows when I need cuddles and will slowly walk beside me as I navigate my way around the house on crutches.

She is one incredible pug and I am so grateful to have her in my life.

Hello everyone!

Just a quick post to let you know that the Pugs & Co social media accounts are now known as The Pug Mum. It is still me and Jellybean. I'll be sharing stuff of our life together here and there. But I will also be doing some post to sell the Pug Mystery Boxes I still have available from Pugs & Co stock.

I haven't been up to sharing and pushing the mystery boxes but I will be sharing them again soon as I do need to move this stock on and would love to raise some more money for Pug Patrol Rescue Australia.

But I just wanted to post so you are all aware of the changes to the page name.
