Our Story
One of my three sisters was setting up her own childcare business on the Central Coast of New South Wales (Australia) in the early 90s. Knowing very well that I was adept at sewing and crafty, she requested a number of items for her new business including craft smocks, table cloths, bedding, pockets etc. My sister kept me busy for sometime. Before I knew it word got around and my products and services were in demand. Leave it to Leslie was born!
When younger, I stayed home to raise my three children and this taught me a lot about little ones. Living in a very diverse neighbourhood made me ponder about the needs of children from Aboriginal and multicultural backgrounds. Did they have resources and toys they could identify with? And what about children with additional needs, were they able to access resources appropriate to their needs?
Consequently, I became the first retailer in Australia to actively pursue and stock a wide range of multicultural and Aboriginal childcare resources to address the diversity of culture in Australia. To this day LitL also supplies an impressive range of additional needs resources.

Not only does Leslie have the widest range of resources, many products are hand sewn here in Sydney by the owner herself. LITL is dedicated to sourcing and supplying interesting, unusual and competitively priced resources from all over the globe and exhibit and sell their impressive range at industry events and conferences on the East Coast of Australia.
