It’s been a crazy few weeks and I was back in my lovely little Sydney yarn store on Friday and Saturday. Thank you to all the fab customers that popped in and shared their current and finished projects as well as taking home a few items to start some a few more. I can’t wait to see what they become. I also received some more fabulous Jane Reilly earrings…….of course I had to have a pair but there are some more available online. This small earring collection is made using antique trial optometry lens from c1915. My knit of choice for Saturday was the designed by Caitlin Hunter using Michelle du Plessis Chunky mohair in the colour Spider. Yes I know another black knit!!! I knitted the size 3 and used a little under three skeins for this project. I can’t recommend this pattern enough…..it’s a quick, easy and stylish pattern that is great to wear by itself or as a layering piece. The pattern is available on ravelry and the yarn is available instore and online. Off to sit and knit now. 🧶

Apologies for being so absent both here and in the store for the last few weeks. Life sometimes throws us a few curve balls which makes us realise family and friends time is precious. That being said I’m here in store today and tomorrow with a beautiful new delivery of colours from K O K O N B L E U merino linen and a few other goodies that I will add to the online store. Stay tuned.

All the beautiful K O K O N B L E U colours have arrived in the Merino Linen range hand dyed and available in semi-solid, speckle and tie dye From left to right and top to bottom are the colours C-Spray (New), O-Bleu, Blue Lagoon (New), Jean Michel and Bleu. How great do they look all together!!! All of these lovely skeins are currently available instore and online.

A bit late to the party on this one…..sorry for not posting this as soon as it was released (I took a little break)…..this is the gorgeous El Tatio Cardigan designed by using the new Tibetan Cloud Wool Mélange yarn in the colour Mountain Pebble. This pattern is available to purchase on ravelry and I have popped up yarn kits for instore and online. I think one of these may be jumping onto my knitting needles!!

Some lovely new MYak Fibers Tibetan Cloud Melange has arrived instore and online (see the second image) and I am tempted to make another Niji Pullover by but this time in either the colour Mountain Pebble or Slate. I’m trying to think what else I could knit with this fabulous yarn. Any ideas? Both the niji sweater yarn kits and two of the new melange colours are now available instore and online. Perfect to keep your warm right now in the Southern Hemisphere.

I love it when friends pop in. Thank you Linda Scocca and Tina McLeish for your company, amazing food and bubbles instore today. Lovely Linda also brought in her WIP’s so I thought I would share them with you. The first photo is of Linda’s Hey Sailor designed by DreaReneeKnits Linda is using Michelle du Plessis merino linen in the colour Frou and K O K O N B L E U merino linen in the colour O-Bleu Speckle. The second image is of Linda’s fabulous own design the Studio 11 CC Scarf. Linda’s yarn of choice is Hannah Ginn Studio 11 Singles in the colour Corallium. Can’t wait to see both of them finished. Both patterns featured can be found on ravelry and the yarn is available instore and online.
