The W33i alloy rim are quite strong and the rider has not killed them in 2 years since I built this wheelset.

And the Cura4 brakes are an amazing brake. Plenty of power, great feel at the lever and look amazing.

Can't speak highly enough of the quality of these brands. It is worth considering products from good European brands like these when upgrading your ride.

If you're working on your wheels at home it's important to know the components that make up your wheels before you work on them.

These wheels were taken from a factory made DT Swiss EX511 rear wheel that lost tension after a minor rim tickling impact.

The customer tried to "true" his own wheel not realising prolock alloy ni***es have threat treatment them in place. He did nothing but round off or crack the ni***es.

A trap for young players.

Been enjoying working on bikes quietly again.

Bikes are good fun, but the fun gets overshadowed by the pressures of life when you're trying to make a living off it.

Now that I am back working in a salary based job 9-5, I can focus on the wheel building and servicing work I really enjoy.

My focus will be building cool custom wheels like this one and servicing / upgrading bikes I am excited to work on.

DARTMOOR BIKES UPDATE - Me ceasing importing the brand

After a couple of tough years for the bike industry after the highs of COVID for most importers, I've made the tough call to end my relationship with Dartmoor Bikes.

What I have in stock will be it, so jump on a deal as the prices are low and lean.

I'm not ceasing operations, as I'll still be servicing bikes and offering hand-built custom wheels that are built to order.

For me personally, things were at their best prior to COVID and the Ukraine war as supply lines have became very stretched after these significant global events. Getting goods directly from Dartmoor Bikes HQ in Poland become slow and more costly, and combining orders from the factories that make their products was impossible as they get them made in numerous factories that are not local to each other.

I was not prepared to throw the exorbitant extra costs onto my customer as I always want Dartmoor Bikes under my watch to be a great bike sold at a amazing price so people can share my passion got the brand. It was never about making bank.

I am still a massive fan of Dartmoor Bikes and will continue to ride their products in the future.

Thanks to Andy, Kornel and Wojtek at Dartmoor Bikes for always having my back through good and bad times.

These Dirt Jump 305 wheels always build up well and are used by the best slopestyle riders in the world for good reason.

A great way to end the working week.

Pretty happy to be servicing some pretty sweet bikes of late. This Dogma come good after taking some time to do the dirty work.

After stripping down the drive components for degreasing and cleaning, installing a new chain and shifting cable, adjusting the brake, installing new bar tape and attending to sime small but important general maintenance things it's riding like new again.

Such a fun bike to test ride and super fast.

Good products, tools and wheel building practices make for excellent and durable wheels.

No hype or bu****it marketing needed when a wheel builds up like this. It talks for itself.

Finished building up this stunner of a bike today.

The Routt 45 is titanium at its best with dialled geometry and a beautiful finish to the decals on the frame to give the bike an amazing base. Add to that a pretty tasty Apex XPLR groupset, a set bombproof Emporia wheels and some tires to finish it off .... it was a bike that I wish didn't need to be handed over to its owner.

To say the new owner was stoked is a massive understatement.

Today's work included these quite tasty Enduro 29" rims laced to some equally delicious silver Hydra hubs.

The decals on the rims compliment the silver hubs quite nicely, and they are a bloody good quality rim to boot.

And with a Lifetime Warranty and Crash Replacement program that's excellent and transparent, the good folk at have nailed it.

While a lot of the time I'm working on mountain bikes wheels, I work on building and repairing a range of different wheels types.

This set of Ae**us carbon rim brake wheels needed fresh spokes after more than a decade of use.

A rebuild with fresh quality spokes and ni***es will see this wheelset roll well for many years to come.

Felt good to get this Diamante SV finished for a very tall punter this week.

The build involved stripping down the a quite tasty Wilier Triestina (frame in photo) and moving the components across to the Basso.

Was also cool to get my hands on some of the impressive
wheels.

Was an awesome build once finished.
