Every Women’s Lantern begins as something discarded; a coconut shell, rattan, materials that many would overlook.

Then, through skilled hands, patience, and craftsmanship, it becomes something beautiful.

Because rebuilding after violence often looks the same.

On Monday 27 July 2026, a nationwide Critical AusAlert test will be sent to every mobile device in Australia.

What you need to know:
• Your device will vibrate and play a loud, siren-like sound for about 10 seconds. Even if your phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb.
• An AusAlert message will appear on your screen

If you have a hidden or secondary phone, this alert may activate that device and could expose it.

Steps you can take to prepare for the test alert include:
• Turn the hidden device off before the test
• Leave it with a trusted friend
• Store it in a safe or different location during the alert
