PARASITE — FULL SPECTRUM HARMONIC OVERDRIVE
Building on the quiet success of the original Parasite Overdrive, we’re proud to introduce its 2026 evolution — now housed in our new custom form factor.
The core analog signal path remains unchanged, but a series of subtle refinements bring greater clarity, stability, and control:
★ Refined high-end frequency response
★ Improved 9V power conditioning
★ Soft-touch, low-force 3PDT switching
★Updated enclosure design
At its heart, Parasite features a parallel JFET input stage with a selectable pre-bright/treble boost, built around hand-paired 2N5457 N-channel JFETs — chosen for their articulate top-end and dynamic response.
The output stage includes a switchable speaker cabinet bass response emulator, allowing you to move between a focused 1x12 and a fuller 4x12 “QuadBox” voice.
A two-band active EQ (High and Low) provides further shaping, letting the pedal sit exactly where it needs to — whether in the studio or on stage.
Parasite excels as an always-on, edge-of-breakup drive, adding harmonic richness and subtle texture — or as a more pronounced, character-driven overdrive when pushed.
“Parasite” comes from the circuit’s natural tendency toward parasitic oscillation — a complexity that, left unchecked, can spiral into chaos.
Here, it’s been carefully controlled.
The result is something refined, but not entirely obedient. A circuit that understands its limits — but hasn’t forgotten where it came from.
